Summary0005565: Request for standardized ordered list of objects
Description

Currently HasOrderedComponent allows to return an ordered list of Objects.
However, if a client is displaying the order by some other means then returned by the server (e.g. alphabetic by name) a user of the client does not see the order anymore.
Therefore, it is desirable to have a modelling construct that

  • explicitly models an ordered list of objects (of any type) and provides an mechanism )(in addition to HasOrderedComponent) for a user to retrieve the order information in generic clients
  • provides mechanism to notify the client about changes in the list, including the order

This is needed in various companion specs, for example for stacklights (defined in Part 200) and in Machine Tools spec.

In it is everything I needed and why I added the Mantis issue. So from my perspective, this can be closed.
