Getting Started

Welcome to the OPC UACTT Getting Started page. Here you will learn how to very quickly setup and configure the OPC UACTT to connect to an OPC UA Server or OPC UA Client for compliance testing.

BETA: The UA CTT is currently a Beta version which means that it subject to change and no representation is made that it is of production stability currently.
Known issues exist and are visible here.

State of Compliance:

Both the UA CTT and UA SDK/Test Tools are both under development. Much work has gone into making both products compliant to the OPC UA Specifications and per the test-cases as defined by the Compliance Working Group.

Installation and Configuration:

Both installers are fully automated and allow you to specify the installation directory only.
Be sure to carefully read and understand the readme file that appears at the end of the UACTT installation.

Training videos exist that demonstrate how to configure and use the UA CTT for testing a UA Server and UA Client.

When you open the CTT you will be prompted to create a new Project. You can choose between a Server or Client test project. For detailed step-by-step instructions configuring the CTT please open the HELP documentation installed with the CTT, navigation of these tutorials are shown below:

The help documentation provided with the CTT contains a lot of information about the CTT itself and the test-scripts contained within. Please use the documentation as your first reference point.

Found a Problem?

Please report any new problems via the Mantis project "UA Compliance Test Tool". All problems will be resolved as soon as possible.
Problems reported with the CTT, test-scripts or the documentation are gratefully received.

New Versions of Test Scripts

As reported problems are solved we will release updated versions of the Test Scripts for both the Server and Client testing. Keep a watchful eye on announcements via the OPC Foundation website and via the CMP Sharepoint announcements. See the Sharepoint FAQs for information on how to access this valuable resource.
