September 19, 2012; : The OPC Foundation would like to announce a new working group for the creation of a companion specification that describes an OPC UA information model for BACnet. This is a joint working group with BACnet Interest Group Europe e.V. and OPC Foundation.
Many vendors already provide classic OPC Servers for BACnet. In addition to the missing object oriented capabilities in classic OPC, all OPC Servers have a vendor specific representation of BACnet objects in the OPC Server address space.
