OPC Foundation Adds Express Interface (OPC Xi) to Technology Portfolio:
The OPC Foundation has added Express Interface (Xi) to the OPC Foundation technology portfolio, complementing OPC UA and COM-based OPC Classic. OPC Xi is a new interface based on Microsoft .NET Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) technology. More information can be found here.

OPC Board of Directors' Election:
The OPC Foundation will conduct its annual Board of Directors' election during the period October 27, 2009 to November 30, 2009. Photos of the candidates for this two-year elected post and their biographical information can be found here. Ballots were sent to all Designated Representatives by email on October 24, 2009. If you are the Designated Representative and did not receive the ballot, please send an email to lynne.froehlich@opcfoundation.org. Results will be announced at the General Assembly WebEx on December 2, 2009.
